Pre-Payment Options

Families have the option to pay for school meals in advance through the student's lunch account to cover meal expenses for a week to several months in advance. Please take advantage of the options to prepay your student's meal account. Prepaid meal accounts help the lunch lines go faster and gives students more time to eat, relax, and play. Prepayments can give you the peace of mind knowing the lunch money is on the account and not lost, stolen or used for other things other than lunch.

The Student Lunch Account

All students have a lunch account and are issued a debit card with their student ID number bar code identification. The student lunch account may be accessed by swiping the debit card through the bar code reader, by typing the student ID number, or by name search to locate the account information from the cafeteria computer. The student's school picture will appear on the computer screen to identify the student to ensure the security of the student's account.

  • Parents may deposit funds into the lunch account by check, cash, or on-line payments. If paying by check, please make the check payable to the Delaware City Schools and include your child's name in the memo section of the check. When sending cash, it is best to send money in a sealed envelope with the child's name and purpose of the money written on the outside of the envelope. Online payments may be made by going to the EzPay Website.
  • Parents may see their student's history of lunch transactions, see the account balance, and sign up for email low balance notifications by registering online at EzPay.
  • Free and reduced meal applications are available upon request. The application can be accessed online, at the child's school, or at the central office at 74 W. William Street. Students qualifying for free and reduced meals will be issued an identification card identical to the debit card to ensure privacy.
